We all gather information, inspiration, ideas. Important and less important documents, graphics and notes disappear in our digital and analogue filing systems. Files, and with them thoughts and ideas, disappear into folders and are so often forgotten. Together with the designer Marie Artaker, Fleur Christine Vitale is developing the concept for a digital web-based solution that adapts the collection and storage of digitised material of all kinds to the working conditions of creative people. In For Future Reference, all data and ideas - which are collected for whatever future use - are stored on a kind of digital desk top. Empty surfaces are filled with content that has not been accessed for a long time, allowing for new and unexpected views and connections of ideas. Like no other similar system, the component of chance plays a major role here, stimulating the creative work process.
