Tim White-Sobieski works in a variety of artistic disciplines - painting, photography, video, light installation. Trained at the Parsons School of Design, the media artist became internationally known for his experimental videos, in which he combines abstract and representational elements, digital and analogue, in a fascinating way with impressively economical means.

In terms of content, White deals with contemporary, spiritual and philosophical themes. His staged photographs often refer to dramatic events in history.

Tim White lives and works in New York City. His work has been shown in more than 30 exhibitions, festivals and biennials in the USA, Asia and Europe, including the Hong Kong Video Days, the Mill Valley Film Festival/California, the Berlin Film Festival, the Prague Biennial. White's works can be found in numerous renowned collections (City Bank Collection NY, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Renaissance Society/University of Chicago, Museum of Modern Art Turin, Denver Museum of Contemporary Art, Ministère des Affaires Etrangères Paris).

Fleur Christine Vitale organized Tim White's first exhibitions in Austria (TRANSITIONS; 2004, Vienna, Salzburg, Graz) while working for Artmosphere Galleries.
